Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Maureen, the nature-based artist and designer behind Pocket Garden Blooms! I live in the beautiful Allegheny Mountains in Western Maryland near Deep Creek Lake, in a house built in 1836 with my husband, our two kids, and our chocolate lab, Camden.

I started Pocket Garden Blooms in 2022 and dreamed of becoming a cut flower farmer. Dreams evolve, and while my vision is still the same, the means and methods have changed. I am an artist, designer, creative consultant, and gardener. In my free time you can find me propagating perennials, pressing flowers, or browsing through cookbooks for recipes and inspiration. Walking outside is my favorite form of exercise, and if I don’t dance in my kitchen at least once a week, then my priorities are clearly misaligned.
