Deep Creek Lavender Farm
This weekend I was able to get to the Deep Creek Lavender Farm for their last weekend of the season. They are still open through Monday September 7, so if you haven't been yet, its not too late! They will also be having a holiday open house in December, so its a perfect time to purchase locally sourced Holiday gifts!
The lavender has bloomed, but it is still a beautiful site to see, and the store is stocked with great products made with lavender from the farm. I stocked up on some lavender soap, and snacked on the lavender lemonade and cookies while I chatted with Ann Davidson, the owner, and listened to some charming live music. The farm is located at 625 Doerr rd in Accident, MD, and there is great signage leading the way down the lane.
If you can't make it out to the farm this weekend, Ann will be at the craft fair at the fairgrounds Autumn Glory weekend, and her holiday open house is December 12th from 10am-4pm.
